Please join us for our 5 week term of
Pregnancy and Mums + Bubs Reformer classes.
Pregnancy Reformer
Time: Wednesday @ 6.30pm
Next start date: Places are available mid term
What to bring: Grip socks and water bottle.
These classes are designed for all stages of pregnancy and will focus on pelvic floor activation, pregnancy safe abdominal exercises, upper and lower limb strengthening and spinal mobility. We will also provide education on pregnancy, birth and beyond whilst you exercise with women who may become your new social network.
It is recommended to have an appointment with a Women’s Health Physiotherapist prior to your first class for a real time ultrasound assessment to teach the correct activation of the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles. This will also allow us to be aware of any issues and ensure appropriate modifications are made.
Mums + Bubs
Time: Tuesday and Friday @ 11:30am
Next start date: Places are available mid term
What to bring: Grip socks, water bottle and please bring your pram, mat and any toys for bub.
These classes may be started after your 6 week check up with your Obstetrician or GP and continued for as long as you feel comfortable attending (for the crawlers we suggest getting them used to pram time with snacks or we can make a little playpen with the reformer boxes to help keep them entertained). This class is a non-judgemental, safe space where we do our best to help you keep bub happy so you can get some movement in!
Reformer is a great low impact way to get back into exercise after having a baby. These classes will focus on pelvic floor activation, abdominal rehabilitation, upper and lower body strength and posture. They also include spinal mobility and stretch to prevent or relieve those aches and pains associated with caring for your baby.
We strongly recommend a postnatal Women’s Health Physiotherapy check prior to starting classes irrespective of whether you experience any issues. Whilst these classes are still safe for those with abdominal separation, pelvic girdle pain, prolapse or incontinence to name a few, these conditions must be appropriately assessed and managed with a Women’s Health Physiotherapist.
